Janette Kinard - President

Ms. Janette Kinard is the founding visionary and President of Champion House of Care Project One. What began as a small support program turned into a successful enterprise that benefits the lives of individuals ranging from preteens to adults. Prior to creating Champion, she was a Nutrition Specialist at Metro School for 25 years in Charlotte, North Carolina. Metro School is Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District’s separate school for students with severe to profound disabilities. It was here that her passion for these young persons continued to grow. After she retired from CMS, Janette started Champion House of Care to afford adult and adolescent individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities quality care through choice programs that are person centered and ability driven. Her other passion is feeding and clothing the homeless.
