Janette Kinard - President
Ms. Janette Kinard is the founding visionary and President of Champion House of Care Project One. What began as a small support program turned into a successful enterprise that benefits the lives of individuals ranging from preteens to adults. Prior to creating Champion, she was a Nutrition Specialist at Metro School for 25 years in Charlotte, North Carolina. Metro School is Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District’s separate school for students with severe to profound disabilities. It was here that her passion for these young persons continued to grow. After she retired from CMS, Janette started Champion House of Care to afford adult and adolescent individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities quality care through choice programs that are person centered and ability driven. Her other passion is feeding and clothing the homeless.

Corey Jamison - Program Coordinator
Mr. Corey Jamison has over 15 years of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health needs along with those with physical and support care needs. He has done this both as an EC Assistant and a Behavior Modification Technician within Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Assisting his former students inspired him to coach track & field and basketball for Special Olympics and Metro School in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Michelle Morell- Fundraising Coordinator
Michelle Morrell is a caring individual with a passion and drive to help others in need. From an early age, Michelle’s compass, to help elderly propelled her to pursue a degree in nursing. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts (1997). Her background in nursing includes medical surgical and long-term care nursing. She currently works as a Public Health Nurse and serves as a school nurse serving children and adults with severe disabilities. She has also volunteered with a variety of entities within the community including international missions as well. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys walking her dogs, gardening, and spending quality time with her family.
Noble Leland Forrest- Vice PresidentNoble Leland Forrest has dedicated 2 years experience in behavior residential counselor. At First Premier Services in Charlotte, NC. He is an active member in the Masonic Lodge King Ahasuerus #127, Worthy Patron for Vashti #122 of Easter Star organization and Shriners. Leland is the owner and operator at L. Forrest Trucking LLC in Kannapolis, North Carolina.

Porscha Delafose - Secretary
Porscha Delafose is a skilled and experienced Procurement Analyst who serves as the Secretary and Board Member of Project One. With her expertise in procurement analytics, she provides valuable insights and recommendations to the organization's leadership team. Porscha has a proven track record of managing projects and collaborating effectively with project teams and stakeholders. Her attention to detail and excellent communication skills make her a valuable asset to the organization. Outside of her role at Project One, Porscha is a dedicated Procurement Analyst, responsible for analyzing procurement data and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. She is a driven and goal-oriented professional who is committed to delivering exceptional results in all her endeavors.

Nicole bello - At Large Board Member
Nicole Bello is a dedicated volunteer coordinator and board member for Project One, a non-profit organization aimed at helping underprivileged children in the local community. With her passion for serving others and her exceptional leadership skills, she has been instrumental in organizing successful fundraising events and recruiting volunteers for various projects. In addition to her volunteer work, Nicole is also an EC Teacher at Charlotte Mecklenburg Academy, where she works tirelessly to support and educate students with disabilities. Her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those around her is truly inspiring.

Lisa Squicciarini is a Parent Liaison Board Member for Project One and a mother of one of the original champions, Lauren Squicciarini. She is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of underprivileged children and has been instrumental in organizing successful fundraising events and engaging with parents and families. Lisa is also a committed advocate for children with special needs and has been actively involved in initiatives to support their education and well-being.

Kayden Kinard- IT Director
Kayden Kinard is a 14-year-old junior board member of Project One. He is the IT Director and Social Media Manager for CHOC, creating successful digital marketing campaigns and managing the organization's social media platforms. Kayden's dedication to community service and technical skills have earned him recognition and continue to inspire others. He is also the grandson of Project One's founder, Janette Kinard, and a passionate participant in the organization's events and fundraisers.
